An Affirmation for this weekend.

I like to have a balanced life. I believe my mind and body work at their best when I allow my life to have balance. That mindset helps me determine where to draw the line with work.

I group personal responsibilities and income-earning tasks in the same category. Both take significant mental and physical commitment.

I set a manageable pace for work to avoid burnout. I recognize that burnout is unhealthy and affects how I relate to others. I get frustrated and impatient when I am mentally and physically exhausted. This negatively impacts my performance at the office.

Each day I commit a specific number of hours to my personal and work responsibilities. I sense a difference in my personality when I stick to my schedule.

When I am at work or at work in a job search, I avoid too many personal distractions. I focus on the work at hand.

When I get change focus to my home life, I put aside all work-related tasks and focus on my myself, friends, and family. That approach allows me to give my full attention to my personal responsibilities.

I like being dependable and available to the important people in my life.

Today, I do everything possible to create balance in my life. I commit to paying attention to my health and well-being at all times. I manage my life responsibly to avoid getting overwhelmed.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. In what ways can I recuperate when I realize I am burnt out?

2. How do I create a balance between my personal and professional life?

3. What role does exercise play in ensuring I avoid burnout?
